How should my client prepare for a facial procedure?
Undergoing a face or forehead lift has a significant impact on skin, making it very important to pre-operatively prepare the skin. Keeping skin well-hydrated and nourished with vitamins will help reduce healing time and redness. Serums play an important role in preparing skin for a procedure because of their ability to stimulate healthy tissue growth and promote wound-healing. Sunscreen is also vital to a pre-procedure skincare regime.
How should my client treat their skin post-procedure?
After a client's physician tells them it's appropriate to begin a skincare regime, they may start using products to treat their skin. Puffiness, bruising and numbness are common post-surgery symptoms, so special care must be exercised. During post-procedure healing, it is VERY important for a client to avoid extreme heat, direct sun exposure, sunlamps, and hot tubs or baths. Keeping cool will help lessen healing time.
